Big Mission 117 After Palpaleos, 8th day of White Skies
The Commander has assigned Ferghus and I to go to Tele’i. The underground tunnel dug by the dwarves will take us to Tele’i, Andacht, Wasserf, Frage, and all of North Hauptland. They weren’t able to dig anywhere near Saluonn and the Giftig Plains, interestingly enough.
Our unit is composed of an orc from the Mountains of L’ior, five really mean dwarves, I’m not kidding, I’ve never met any dwarves like them, and Faeir, who is also an elven cleric. Faeir’s mannerisms remind me of Nebelstern, but her anima isn’t as strong as his, as she does not release that sort of intimidating presence.
Speaking of Ferghus, I haven’t told him about my feelings yet. I plan to tell him after we come back from the mission. It has been 9 years...

Kalix ducked his head the second the ship imploded upon itself, wood and debris flying in every direction, the agonizing screams of those on board filled his ears.
As he looked back up, he could see what remained of the now burning vessel sinking to the bottom of the pier, as several of the other defenders were swimming about for the survivors no doubt.
With a heavy sigh, Kalix returned his claymore to the sheath on his back, "That was something else, but at leasts its over." He said quietly, "Now then..."
He turned around, making his way to the blond mage as she returned to her feet. "So Professor, like I said before, I have some questions I needed to ask you. But lets go somewhere quiet like, alright?"

After most of the earlier effect had passed and the tingling gone down, Loyd carefully rose to his feet, his eyes looking down onto the water. there was nothing much to see, as the water wasn't exactly clear, but he still had an eerie feeling. "Mögen die Totengeister eure Seelen finden und zur ewigen Ruhe geleiten...", he muttered, hoping that this simple prayer would grant the fallen one peace and keep them from becoming milicious spirits that would try to sink ships, make fishes fall in and cause accidence.
He smiled beneath his mask as a bold fairy tugged at one of his strands framing his face, before he watched her flying of with a giggle and a couple of loops. It was really a pity that only few could watch these creatures and listen to their bantering. Straightening himself out he started heading for the other warriors, absently rubbing the back of his hand over the small wound on his forehead. Apparently it wasn't anything deep, he'd just have to find something to put over it and let it heal.
As he walked towards the group, he suddenly saw the same little one come towards him with a few more accompanying her. They wanted to play. Uh-oh. Loyd pulled his arms just in time to avoide the wind blow hitting him in the face. Instead his cape was fluttering strongly and the hood was thrown backwards. "Tch... Pesky little fairies.", he grinned to himself, shaking his head. His smile only got broader under the fabric when they returned with a shout of glee and started to tug out the greenhis ponytail from his cape and played 'dress-up' with his hair, making mufflers, clothes and capes to wrapp around their small bodies... It was just to cute too look at.

Muzai looked at the book blankly. She then closed it and began looking around the area. Exhausted and fuzzy headed she thought about the entry in the journal.
"A tunnel... leading into Tele'i? Even other places.. How long has this been in the works."
Muzai thought as she looked down at her faint hands. The little girl couldnt even feel her fingers at the moment from the spell. It was her first official spell, the first being on accident. Placing the book between her arm and body she watched Judas and Byunei go to the bodies of the deceased all of which was caused from her.
To her right she saw Loyd and what appeared small creatures flying about him... from the distance she was at she couldnt tell what they were.

Hoisting the blond mage up off the ground and slinging her arm around his shoulder, Kalix made his way toward the steps leading away from the pier. His brown eyes darting at the two odd people by the lift.
A guy with fairies and a little girl. What kinda heroes just saved this place? He thought, turning away from the steps and moving to to the two of them (Much to Eiri's confusion).
"Hey there!" He called out to the two of them, smiling whole heartedly all the while, "I take it your the one who used that major spell fairy man?"

Loyd blinked a bit, before realizing the fairies were actually visible for once. "Ah... I'm afraid I can't take the credits for that one... The spirits haven't granted me with destructive powers.", he replied cheerfully, before wincing and whipping around, sending one fairy flying. "OW! That HURT!", he complained, which caused the little one's to giggle, before glancing at the other humans and giggling even more before quickly leaving his hair alone and picking up their teammate and disappering in a cloud of sparkles.
Absently the youth rubbed the back of his neck, where one of the mythical beings had jucked a strand way to hard. What an... interesting group had collected here... Smiling at the little girl he was tempted to reach out and give her head a pat, but refrained from doing so. The little girl might after all not be what it seemed. Maybe it was a really old sage with a might illusion? "Good job job protecting the city.", he nodded in the round, before suddenly is stomache gave a growl, that made him blush so hard it was visible despite the half mask.

Kalix cocked an eyebrow at the strange behavior of the man and his fairies, and then at the formers sudden blush. Weird guy. But if he didn't do that, then... he glanced down at the little girl below him, there's meeting on another.
"Was that you then?"
If she answered like how he knew she would, then Kalix would remember this as one of the strangest days of his life.

No longer kneeling, Eiri Alyssan pauses to look at Kalix upon getting up. “As much as I would like to discuss these matters with you, we should go somewhere we can speak in private. I believe you will be rewarded at the University. I guess we can talk after the rewarding ceremony.” She tells him.
Nikholten looks around, clears his throat in preparation to make an announcement. “My thanks to you all for saving Tele’i. Now, if you all can follow me…we have rewards to give you all,” He asks politely, motioning you all to come with him up the stairs. He seems to be walking northward towards the University.
Before that all happens, Judas, Byunei, and Cerwin come out of the water. Judas finds a Jeweled Headband, which was ornate with topaz and peridot gemstones. Any girl (or guy) that wears it would look more infinitely attractive. Byunei finds a Red Plume Hat, Embedded Floral Sash, and a Chalice of Flowing Ebb. The Red Plume Hat was exactly the same one that the gaudy Captain wore. The Embedded Floral Sash was made out of brocade fabric. Somewhere amongst it, you notice that there is a secret compartment that allows you to hide up to five pounds of whatever you please. Lastly, the Chalice seems to have healing properties within it, but you do not know of how to use it. Byunei goes to Muzai and allows her to pick one of the items. Then he goes to Loyd and allows him to pick one. Then he gives the last item to Kalix. He also found 200 gold coins, in which he decided to give each hero 20 gold coins. As for Cerwin, he finds a Belt of Browness, Cream Lace Undergarments, and a Half-Eaten Mc Griddle, which kind of looks enough to eat. Displeased with what he found, he throws all the items on the cobblestone, free for all to take.

"Right, lets head back to the University then, professor." Kalix nodded to her, and quickly took the money and sash from Byuunei before proceeding to the cobbles stone steps.
I wonder though, was it that little girl who destroyed that ship? It couldn't have, could it? He thought as he and Eiri up the steps, past the cheering throng of citizens that had gathered before the pier to congratulate their heroes.
He drowned at the noise though. Now that this crisis was out of the way, he had more personal matters to attain with Eiri. She might be my only lead to finding the people who framed me.
His face twisted into slight snarl at the thought. A innocent man from Bons, thrown into prison for a crime he didn't commit, and forced to flee to Hauptland to spend his days as a soldier for hire.
"The moment we're out of ear shot, you better start talking professor. Because I've come too far these last few years to leave Tele'i empty handed."

Muzai only looked down in shame at Kalix's comment. She dare not think of the carnage she has committed even if it did save the town. As Kalix started to leave, Byunei had approached her with the spoils of victory, one of three items for her to take. Muzai didn't want to take one... it being a trophy almost for her deeds; that of which she wasnt to proud of.
"Ah..."
Letting out a faint sigh, she reached forward and took the Red Plume Hat.. it had a strange feeling to it. Muzai then looked to Cerwin who had just thrown the items onto the floor. Seems he has no need for any of it..
"So what now?" Muzai looked around at everyone. They all seemed happy and exhausted from the battle and began to leave.

Loyd blinked in surprise as he was asked to come along and heard of a reward. Curious he tagged along, as he didn't really knew what to expect and didn't mind a new experience. As he was offered to pick an item, he was about to decline, not really having a use for things like that, but then he blinked, took a double take and hesitantly choose to pick up the chalice, starting to exam it in curiosity.
Could this perhaps be made from alchemy? Or was it 'merely' a magical item? Either way he was looking forward to figure this one out. He was only side-tracked from instantly examining it by being given gold. With this he could live for a while without having to worry about food or things like that. "Thank you.", answered, brightly, being grateful of the reward, more than he felt he could express himself.
After a moment he stretched his body and reached up to carefully touch the crusted over wound. Maybe he should seek out a temple and get it fixed? He'd almost feel ashamed to go there for such a little scratch. Well, okay, not scratch, but... On the other hand ... A wound like that would make it easier for wild animals to track his scent... Hm... Glancing down at the chalice that he still held, he got an idea and hesitantly stuck his finger into the water before raising it to his wound. Maybe that was how it worked? It was certainly worth a try...

After the heroes scavenge what they could get, they all walk up the stairs and towards the University.
Upon walking together towards the University altogether, they notice many griffins, townspeople, pirates, and dwarves dead on the floor. Many university students and defenders are helping the injured get to the University Hospital. A lone helmeted man, with orc stench, actually the one that went to the bar, was kneeled at the fountain, bleeding profusely but still alive. Eiri Alyssan rushed to the helmeted man, giving a basic healing spell before going under his arm to support him up. She motioned at Sonoran to support the orc man from the other side, who then confusedly obeyed clumsily, stumbling on his way to the man’s side.
The town bells rang again as the heroes arrived at the University. A tuxedo cat person in a tuxedo that goes by the name of Hans Snufflelufficous stood at the entrance, smiling gregariously while slightly pawing his monocle into place. Those of you that haven’t met cat people are surprised at this spectacle. The cat person waved at you all and walked to meet you all halfway from the entrance. “Ah, welcome back professor and mayor! I am glad for your safe return.” The cat told Eiri Alyssan and Nikholten as he greeted them with a nuzzle on the cheek. Noticing the injured orc between Eiri Alyssan and Sonoran, he started speaking again, “The hospital is full, so more of the injured are now staying at the auditorium. The healers are quite busy, having to tend over a hundred people.”
“I understand, Headmaster. I shall be there to help.” Eiri Alyssan responded hastily. “Come now, healer, we have a little more to do before we relax.” She told Sonoran, motioning at him to continue walking to the insides of the University building.
Hans Snufflelufficous turned his head back to you all after watching the three depart. “The University has rooms prepared for you all. We’re holding a feast for all the people that helped protect Tele’i from the invasion, at this very night. It’ll be a few hours until that starts, so you can make yourself at home. The University is also open for guests to stroll around, but I would kindly advise that you all don’t go into the Hospital and the Auditorium. Nikholten, if you may show them to the dormitories…”
On the way to the dormitories, Nikholten advises you all to decide on one or two people to share your rooms with. After checking in at the dormitory front desk, you all now stand at one of the hallways, right in front of the rooms you are to stay at. Here are the list of names of people currently in the party: Loyd, Muzai, Judas, Kalix, James Cerwin, Byunei, Rem, Nikholten
(The character you choose will be the character you’ll be RPing with until the party starts, but you can always visit another’s room if you please, or wander about.)

Hero. The word seemed foriegn to the assassin. As the party made their way to up the steps to the dormitories, Judas continued to silently mouth the word to himself. Hero. Ridiculous. I'm a paid assassin. I am no hero.
He chuckled to himself, drawing the attention of his comrades. He smiled, looking at each one of them. "I've exterminated many men in my life time and never once have I been given a feast in my honor."
The assassin spun and made his way back down the hall, turning briefly to speak to the party, "My body is still tense from combat. I can't wait a few hours to fill my stomach and drink myself to a stupor. Come with me child and read me a tale from that book. I'd like to know more about my ... enemies."

Guess I can wait awhile, Kalix thought to himself, the chaos of the last few hours had wore him out somewhat. Hey didn't really mind who he bunked with, because the moment the ceramony was over and he got the information he wanted, he was out of this city.
"Well I can't say I pulled too much of my own weight in this fight, I might as well take a look around." He said looking around the group. Already accepting the fact that he might not see most of these faces again.

Judas stopped for a moment and looked back at the two men waiting near the door.
He sneered at the masked man, still suspicious of him. But considering the circumstances ...
"Hey you two. Come share a drink with me. We spilled blood together and honestly, she's a light drinker and that's not so fun." the assassin said while pointing at the girl.
